In the first part of the first half, our team was playing energetically, but after a slowdown in pace, Vardar took the lead and extended the difference to three goals which they could keep until the break. Our defense needed some improvement, as the opponent could find its pivot and shoot over our defensive wall.

The second half started where the first one left off. At the beginning Skopje was dictating the pace, but then we shifted gears and equalized, sometimes leading by four goals. Our defense improved and our attacks were successful too. Görbe scored eight goals and gave magical assists to Heidi who collected several penalty shots, and went on to score five goals. Kiss Éva contributed to the win with brilliant saves in the goal. Towards the end of the match our opponent could equalize, but in the last second, Heidi, with the help of Görbe, shined one last time, enabling us to leave the court in victory.

Jan Pytlick:” We’re disappointed a little, as we've lost the game, however it was a great match. We performed well in the first half, I was especially satisfied with our attack. In the second half, however, we couldn't find our form for 6-7 minutes  which cost us the game. At the end we could come back, but the last seconds benefited Győr. In my opinion there were too many suspensions today for both teams.”

Jovanka Radicevic: “First of all, congratulations to ETO on their win. We fought a really hard and tough battle, our performance was good in the first half, but in the second part of the game we made too many mistakes. I think, this was the key, Győr played the same, however, we made more mistakes and they took the advantage.

Ambros Martín: “After half time, only minor changes were needed. I’m very happy because we could get over the hardships of recent weeks. Today we proved that the Team can overcome such a low point, and get rejuvenated. It’s not easy because we are facing high expectations which are hard to meet in a period of building; going against time is the hardest. We’re still taking it step by step, but when it’s time, we'll show our top form. Today, I think our win is worth four points, not two.”

Görbicz Anita, scoring eight times, she has showed her best performance since her comeback: “I’m so happy and proud of my team! In the past few days we could feel at the trainings that we are out of the slump. After the match against Fradi, we had a big talk which we needed very much. I feel, that today the team finally found its true form. We performed great in defense, and Heidi scored when it was needed. We’ll keep working, we won’t stop, as we have big aims for the season.”
