Gellért Tamás says, that the core members of the fan club comprise of those who were supporters of the successful men's handball team. Later, the men's team disappeared from the first league and the women's team started gaining reputation, first nationally then internationally in the beginning of the 2000s, so the fans continued touring with them. The first tour was organized in the spring of 2002, first travelling to Székesfehérvár, then following the team to Denmark for the EHF Cup final at Pentecost. Back then, fans could travel non-stop with two drivers, but due to present regulations concerning driving hours they sometimes arrive 6-7 hours earlier to ensure the required stoppage time. This can complicate the organization of the trips.

We have no idea about how many away-matches we have taken part in, but there hasn’t been any without ETO supporters since 2002 for sure” – says Gulyás Gábor who is the main organizer of the tours. “The farthest destination has been Russia, it took us 38 hours to get there by train. It was a great experience, however nowadays we go everywhere by bus. The fans have became close friends during these tours and everyone knows what to do and what to bring for the trip. Sometimes it feels like being in a banquet with all the food and drinks. In the beginning there were only men on the bus, but now half of the group is comprised of women, it might have something to do with the arrival of Ambros.

Gellért Tamás continues: “We have a very good relationship with Ambros. In 2012, he came to one of our meetings, but our relationship got deeper after the first National Championship victory. We asked Ambros many times to travel with us on the fan bus to an away match, but it hadn’t happened until the team won the championship against Fradi. He kept his promise and came home with us from Népliget in 2013. We had a great time together on the bus, celebrating the victory with pálinka and sandwiches.”

Many people ask us why we follow our team everywhere, well, this question is difficult to answer, but this is our life” Gulyás Gabi adds. "There have been many unforgettable tours and memories. It is a great chance to see Europe, sometimes we even have our own tour guide and discover the different cities. The best tours are usually to Ljubljana because the people and club are so hospitable; there was an occassion when almost 400 fans travelled there."

"The tour to Denmark this autumn was also a great experience. We arrived early as usual, but the Danes let us go inside the hall and we could freshen ourselves up after the long trip. The coach of Midtjylland also arrived to meet us and  then guided us around, even showing her office and other interesting places. Also this year we had the opportunity to spend an evening with ETO's management, the president invited everybody for beer in Norway during the qualification matches. This also has never happened before."

Gabi is already busy organizing the tours for the main round matches of the Champions League: “We are looking forward to the dates; I’ve started to look up addresses and contacts in Sweden, Romania and Montenegro. As soon as the dates are set, we’ll start organizing the details.”
