According to eurohandball.com, during the group round, Audi Aréna had the most fans at the home matches of ETO with an average number of 4732 in autumn. So in the women’s Champions League, our arena is the record holder, which will further improve this weekend as every ticket has been sold for the derby. As earlier stated, the opponent won’t be accompanied by an organized group of fans, so the whole arena can get loud from “Hajrá ETO”. For the sake of great atmosphere, the organizers ask everybody to come dressed in green to fill the arena with the color of ETO.

Ambros Martin gave an interview about the forthcoming match during the team's open training:

We could sign a strong player, Ida Alstadt to substitute for Zsuzsi. How effectively can Ida help, what are your expectations?

Basically, Ida is not coming to substitute Zsuzsi, but to help the team due to the absence of an injured player in a very important post. However, this is not only her task, it puts an extra burden on the whole team, and everybody has to make extra efforts.

Ida has had only one week to become part of the team before the match, do you think she will be able to contribute to the game?

I’ts definitely not easy, not only because she’s a new player, but because she is going to debut against the present Champions League winners. Basically, extra performance and team unity is required as they’ve been working together since summer.

For some weeks, Görbe has also been out, which means extra time and responsibility on the court for Nycke. Do you think she can deal with this, mainly physically? Misi must also play more as playmaker too...

That’s right, this is exactly Nycke’s task, but you must remember that this is a team sport, where the key of success is the unity and cooperation of the players, so results are not dependent on one player or post only.

What do you think of the physical condition of the girls? Is there a tiredness after the World Championship, or this busy period has had a beneficial effect on them?

We are all humans, not machines, so every circumstance affects our performance. However, a winning mentality means not to care about how much you are tired but the challenge that is in front of you.

We are going to encounter probably the strongest opponent of the Champions League including the best player of the World Championship, Christina Neagu. How do you think we can win the match and stop this excellent back player?

Let me further emphasize that this is about team play. A championship can’t be won by one player, maybe a match yes, but not a succession of matches. Buducnost could get to the top also as a team last season. We would make a mistake if we focused only on Neagu, since the rest of their players are also excellent. We can win on Saturday, if we do our best in every moment of the match both individually and as a team.

Eduarda Amorim is starting to show her original form. She is under great pressure; since being the oldest defender, she has to control the defense.

“Actually I feel better and better on the court, I don’t have to pay attention to my knee and can concentrate on the match only, on shots and assists. This is a big step forward, since the rehabilitation has to be completed in your head too. Our team lost a few players, which means more play time and concentration is expected from everyone. I’m not worried because I can see that the team keeps improving, we are going to be better and better every week. Our play is getting more organized and confident in reaching our goal, to win the Champions League. There are only hard matches in the main round, we are well aware that we are encountering the Champions League favourite. It’s going to be a big battle and a tough game but we also have to enjoy it. If we can be aggressive in defense and patient in our attack, we can beat Podgorica” – said Duda
