Buducnost started energetically at home, and we could only score two goals by the half of the first half. Our attacks were a little bit slow, Ambros asked the girls to play a faster game. The improvement in our defense brought the change at 8-2, as a result of which we didn’t let the opponent score, however, we scored four. Ambros was constantly changing the positions, so in the second part of the first half we could equalize and could take the lead with a very clever and tactical play. Kari was excellent in the goal she saved a lot. Fortunately the referees had control of the match they punished the aggressive defense of the opponent b ejections.

The scenario of the second half was mostly the same, Podgorica could take the lead with six goals. ETO could catch up again, but they couldn’t equalize. This might be the reason why Buducnost could play a more concentrated match and win by three goals. Kari performed perfectly in the second half too, and Duda’s play was also promising with her 7 goals which made her the top scorer today. The final result was 25-22.

Ambros Martin’s comment after the match: “We didn’t start well, we weren’t clever enough and it affected our defense too. When we started moving the ball from side to side, we could find the place to score goals. In the second half, the opponent could take the lead due to individual faults; I think we made mistakes that we can’t when we play against the top team of the Champions League. We didn’t win, but I think it is reassuring that we could play a tight match with such a strong opponent at their home.”
