Before the final round at the weekend we can state that only Rosztov Don remained undefeated, they lost one point against FTC. The top team of our group, the Buducnost has collected two defeats (in Skopje and in Győr) and a draw (in Bucharest), ETO has also the same result, two defeats (from Mitdjylland and Buducnost) and a draw (against Mitdjylland). Vardar has reached us being ranked third, and Bucharest has the steady fourth place in our group. The first three places depend on the matches at the weekend: our girls need a win or at least a draw in Bucharest to keep their advantage against Vardar, who will go to win in the home of Savehof. Buducnost has a return match with Mitdjylland left, to secure their first place, they have to defeat the Danes.

Rosztov is surely the first in Group 1, but the competition is still on for the 2nd and 4th places. Larvik, Nagybánya and Fradi also have 10 points, because of the goal differences, the order is the same as above. All of them wants to win at the weekend to get the best position possible in the quarter final.

The only important thing for ETO is to win against Bucharest, no matter what. Ambros Martin doesn’t count the points: “It is not important what opponents we get, but to improve our play game by game. Whoever we will play against in the quarter final, they will be tough matches and until then in the remaining one month we would like to take big steps with the team.”

Since the last encounter, the Romanian team, containing Romanian base players and several foreign superstars, has had one victory and one defeat. Vardar beat them by 5 goals but they could win over Midtjylland by 5 goals. On their scoring list, the first is still Isabelle Gulldén from Sweden who is ranked third on the Champions League list and scored 8 goals at the match against ETO. We have to pay attention to the Brazilian center-back, Rodrigues, since she also scored 5 goals to ETO.

After the MKC match on Wednesday the girls will be preparing for the encounter in Romania with one training on Thursday and Friday, where the team will set off on Saturday. The match will be at 15:00 according to Hungarian time, and it will be broadcast on Sport 1. The team will be accompanied by their fans, so more than 150 green-white supporters will cheer for their team.

Hajrá ETO!
