At the season closing event, the name giver sponsor hosted the players and the technical staff, sponsors and the representatives of the fans. As a host and a representative of board of the club, Lőre Péter summed up the season looking back at the 10-year long partnership. “In the last 10 years, since when Audi Motor Hungaria has been sponsoring the team we can be happy about the outstanding successes. So far the team has won 8 championships, 10 Hungarian Cups and been able to get into the Final4 of the Champions League 7 times and win 2 times. However, the latter this year didn’t happen, we were so close but we can be proud of this season behind us. I can only wish a similar 10 or more years ahead.”

Borkai Zsolt, the mayor of Győr also expressed his acknowledgement about the team’s performance. “ The girls spoiled us so much in the last 10 years. However, we couldn’t win the Champions League this year, I agree with the captain, Görbicz Anita, who said that we hadn’t lost the Champions League because you couldn’t lose with 7-meter throws, we had been unlucky. Then we could take back the trophy from Ferencváros with a double victory at the Hungarian Championship so we closed a really successful season. I hope that the following season will be as successful as this.

It was followed by the farwell to 3 leaving players, Ida Alsradt, Linn Sulland and Kovacsics Anikó were given their presents from Pálinger Katalin, member of the board.

Ida Alstadt said that despite joining the team at the half of the season she felt that she could fit in soon. “Almost immediately I could feel as I was a real member of the team. I got to like everything here very much, the city and the fans too. This is the place where I am happy to return anytime.”

Linn Sulland first played as a foreign player when she joined ETO 1 year ago. “I was really scared of how it will feel to play handball in a different environment, but I felt fantastic. This one year will be a beautiful experience forever.”

Kovács Anikó was said goodbye by a short clip of her moments in ETO and a picture saying “Come back soon” by the association. “The years I spent in ETO will always be the most important ones in my life since I grew up here, I became a handball player here. Apart from my decision about leaving I will never forget the experiences I got here”
