Dear Mr. Thury Gábor,
Let me reply to your note published on 12 December, 2017 in Nemzeti Sport.

We are confident that neither the foreign players of ETO, nor the foreign players of other teams mean any disadvantage for the Hungarian National team. However, the presence of the foreign players can give a boost to the improvement of the youth players,
In case we have a look at the Hungarian National team and the chances of their players to play, we can say that except for Görbicz Anita, everybody gets enough opportunities to play from which the Hungarian National team can improve. (Görbicz Anita is a left winger only in season 2017/2018, she played as center earlier. Presently, Stine Oftedal and Nycke Groot are the centers in ETO who are also top players.)

Concerning the goal keepers, Bíró Blanka and Janurik Kinga are the main goalkeepers of their teams and they spend the whole match time on court at national and international matches.
As for the pivots, Kisfaludy Anett and Mayer Szabina play 60 minutes per matches, Mészáros Rea plays in a CL team every week.

Regarding the centers, Kovács Anikó and Szucsánszki Zita are the pivots of Ferencváros, in Champions League.
Let’s see the backs. Klivinyi Kinga, Kovács Anna, Szöllősi-Zácsik Szandra, Szekeres Klára and Tomori Zsuzsanna are also main players in the EHF cup and they get the opportunity to play in their club playing in the CL (when they are healthy). Háfra Noémi, as a youth player in Ferencváros gets more and more opportunities too.

Concerning the wingers, Schatzl Nadine, Lukács Viktória and Bódi Bernadett play the whole match time.

In our opinion, Mr. Thury’s note does not cover the truth. We know well that the real problem is to have quality youth players, and the lack of sport professional concept according to which, the youths can become part of the adult team.
In the past decade, the youth teams proved to be successful at the championships in their age groups, however, unfortunately, these players could not be integrated in the adult team.

The managers of ETO are happy to take part in creating a long term strategy.
