The two-times CL-winner, World Championship and European Championship silver medalist  dutch line player of Győri Audi ETO KC, Yvette Broch has made a serious decision because of the extreme loading of the alast season. She is not going to start the preparation phase of the new season with the team of Győri Audi ETO KC. The club is supporting their player in everything, and hopes, that she will return to the court once.

During the extraordinary press conference of Győri Audi ETO KC, Yvette Broch, the dutch player of the club announced, that she doesn’t see her future in handball right now. This is why she sought out her club, the four times CL-winner Győri Audi ETO KC in order to speak about her situation. „The las season was fantastic, but it has taken away from me a lot both physically and mentally. It was very difficult to make this decision, but I feel that I have to listen to the signals sent by my body now, so I have talked to dr. Csaba Bartha, president of Győri Audi ETO KC, that I would like to suspend my contract. They were very positive to me and to this situation, so I would like to thank them for the their support.” – said Yvette Broch.

„This May, at the end of the season we saw, that Yvette has fully run out of energy. We hoped together, that after almost full exhaustion the summer vacation will help her body to regenerate and she will be able to start the preparation with her teammates in the middle of July. But yesterday, Yvette informed me that she doesn’t have the right condition which is necessary for top-level sport, and asked for suspending her contract. Today, we agreed with each other, so Yvette Broch’s contract continues to be valid for 2018/2019 season, but it will be modified. We are hoping, that primarily due to time and proper regeneration treatment, and of course relaxation will contribute to the successful recovery of our world-class player, so it is not the case that her contract was ended. Yvette Broch is still one of the players of Győri Audi ETO KC, and we are waiting for you to come back…” – stated the president of Győri Audi ETO KC, dr. Csaba Bartha.

After fall-out of Yvette Broch, the newcomer norwegian Kari Brattset and the young talented player, Emőke Varga are the line players that can be counted with in this position. „Of course, we will examine all the opportunities to strengthen this post, but it will be of course really hard to find the best solution.” – said dr. Csaba Bartha.

Yvette Broch is a 28 years old handball player. She joined Győri Audi ETO KC in 2015. Two times CL-winner, three times Hungarian Champion, two times Hungarian Cup-winner.
