South Korea's national team is a regular participant in the Olympic Games’ handball tournament. We talked with our team's new player, Ryu Eun Hee, about the preparation and expectations.

Ryu Eun Hee joined Győri Audi ETO KC from the 2021/2022 season. The excellent centreback previously had played for a European team before moving to Győr.

How was the team's preparations for the Olympic Games? Did you play any friendly match?

Due to the COVID-19 situation, the training camps abroad have been cancelled. We were preparing in Incheon and Taebak, in South Korea. We were able to play a few preparation matches, we played against the men's U19 team and we practised against the Military team.

What is the goal of the South Korean national team at the Olympics?? What are your personal goals?

We would like to play the last game with the team, so we want to play the final. I would like to perform successfully, furthermore, I would like to arrive healthy from Tokyo to Győr.

Soon you will be preparing in Győr and playing in CL, which you have not experienced before. Are you excited about that?

I'm glad to play again in Europe. It's a fantastic feeling to be part of a club that's not only is playing in the Champions League, but also has serious goals in the series. Of course, I have some healthy expectation and excitement, but maybe that's normal.
