Four players from Győri Audi ETO KC have been called up for the expanded squad for the World Championship in Spain by national captain Vladimir Golovin. Two members of Győr's team will represent the club in the professional staff, Krisztina Pigniczki as assistant coach and Zoltán Holanek as strength coach.

The 21-member squad of the Hungarian women's national handball team again includes four players from Győr.  The national team will meet again on 22 November and they will play preparation matches against Olympic champion France on 26th and 28th of november in Paris before the World Championships in Spain.

Only 18 of the twenty-one-member squad will travel to France and the World Cup.

The Hungarian national handball team will start their World Championship campaign in Group E, in a "European group" against Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Our national team will play its group matches in Lliria, at the Pabellón Polideportivo Pla De L'arc sports hall.

The World Cup, which will take place from 2 to 19 December, will no longer feature 24 teams but 32. The teams have been drawn into eight groups of four, with the top three teams going through to the second round of group matches, where they will be drawn into groups of six.
