The last national league match of the season for Győri Audi ETO KC will be a real derby, as Ferencváros will arrive at the Audi Arena Győr. The match, which is part of the 9th round of the K&H Women's Handball League, will start at 18:30 on Wednesday, 17 November 2021 and will be broadcast live on M4 Sport. Ahead of the match, we asked Crina Pintea and Stine Oftedal to give us their expectations.
Our team's last league match of the year is a real handball "delicacy", as our biggest home rival, FTC will be visiting the Audi Arena Győr.
Not only the history of the two teams, but also their performances this year justify the name rivalry, as only Győri Audi ETO KC and our Wednesday opponents are unbeaten in the domestic points chase. In the first round, Ferencváros beat MKC 37 - 26 at home and then triumphed 32 - 25 in Fehérvár. In the third round, they won 36 - 18 against Érd, and then defeated MTK by four goals, 32 - 28. They beat Dunaújváros to 28 - 23 and DVSC to 29 - 26 at home. The team played their closest away game against Siófok, beating them by only two goals, 33 - 31, in Gábor Danyi's farewell match. In the last round, they tuned up for the showdown with an easy 37 - 20 win against Vasas.
Four players left our opponent this summer: Noémi Háfra and Nadine Schatzl joined our team, Noémi Pásztor went to MKC, while Gréta Hadfi transferred to Érd. Szandra Szöllősi-Zácsik, Júlia Hársfalvi and Itana Grbic joined FTC.
Before the super-match, we asked two of our team's players, Crina Pintea and Stine Oftedal, to give us their expectations for the match.
The match will be officiated by referees Miklós Andorka and Róbert Hucker and will be broadcast live on M4 Sport.
According to the current government decree, the match can only be attended by persons with a valid immunity card, and persons under the age of 18 can only attend the match if they are accompanied by a citizen over the age of 18 who has a valid immunity card.
