The third day of the World Cup in Spain was played on Friday, December 3. Several players of Győri Audi ETO KC started their participation in the tournament with their national team. On Saturday, 4th of December, Hungary will play against the Czech Republic.

 

Olympic champions France started their Group A campaign against Angola. Estelle Nze Minko's side led 13 - 7 at half-time against the African team, before the French eventually won to 30 - 20. Laura Glauser, goalkeeper of Győri Audi ETO KC, was voted the best goalkeeper of the match.

"We took the match seriously, we did everything to win. We defended aggressively and well and were able to convert our attacks to goals quickly. This match was a good way to start the World Cup. I hope we can continue the work we have started. We don't have an easy group, every match will be difficult, but we have to keep going forward for the goal." - said Laura Glauser after the meeting.

Romania's team with Crina Pintea, recorded a knockout win over Iran. The Romanians decided the fate of the two points with a 20-3 first half run and eventually won to 39 - 11 over the World Champions newcomers. Crina Pintea scored two goals in the match.

Norway had no problems in their opening match in Group C. Veronica Kristiansen's team beat Kazakhstan to 46 - 18 after 24 - 10 at half time. Kari Brattset Dale contributed with 5, Veronica Kristiansen 2 and Stine Oftedal 4 goals.

Sweden beat Uzbekistan to 46 - 15. Linn Blohm scored 2 goals for the Asian team.

On 4th of December, the teams will start the second round of the group stage. The Hungarian women's handball team will face the Czech Republic starting at 20:30. The match will be broadcast live on M4 Sport.

South Korea will play against Tunisia at 18:00, while Denmark and Congo at 8:30. The matches can be followed live on m4sport.net.
