In the 16th round of the K&H women's handball league our team played against Alba Fehérvár in the Audi Arena Győr. Already in the first half we managed to get a bigger lead, but by the break we were "only" 5 goals ahead (16- 11). The second thirty minutes had little excitement, but our favourites won 37 - 21.

The game started with a one minute mourning break in memory of our recently deceased former head coach Lajos Horváth and his wife.

Ambros Martín gave a rest to Kari Brattset Dale and Fodor Csenge for the match against Fehérvár. Our head coach started the match with Faluvégi, Kristiansen, Nze Minko, Blohm, Hansen, Schatzl and Leynaud in goal. True, the first goal of the match was scored by the visitors, but thanks to goals from Faluvégi and Kristiansen we were already leading 2 - 1 in the fourth minute. Amandine Leynaud made some great saves to help our massively defensive team and by the 15th minute the score was 8 - 4. In the 21st minute, Háfra's goal gave our favourites a seven-goal lead (13 - 6). The first half of the match ended with one away goal and Győr leading to 16 - 11.

In the second half, Silje Solberg remained in goal for our team after replacing Amandine Leynaud in the middle of the first half. At the beginning of the period, our team made several mistakes both in attack and defence and Ambros Martín called a time-out at 20 - 15 with a five-goal lead. The masterly admonition shook up our team and with a beautiful fast game, in the 42nd minute we were already leading to 23 - 25. Glauser also came on for 20 minutes and Estelle Nze Minko's goal made the difference between the two teams 10 (25 - 15). By the last ten minutes of the match, Győr was leading to 30 - 19. In the last minutes the scoreline opened up further and Győr won to 37 - 21.

Ambros Martín: "I think in the first half our five-on-five defence was good, we were able to get a lot of balls, but we couldn't convert the easy situations into goals. In the second half our wall of six didn't work properly either. Several things didn't work out as planned today, but in the second half we scored some easy goals. It was good to see the Győr-bred players on the pitch against us again."

Noémi Háfra: "We tried new things, which were good overall, but it's far from perfect, there's still room for improvement. We were a little bit deconcentrated at the beginning of the meeting, but we managed to pick ourselves up."
