The traditional international youth handball tournament, XXXIV. Audi ETO Balázs Cup Győr will take place at another date than before between 17-20th January 2019. The announcement of the tournament is available from now on the official homepage of the event (www.balazskupa.hu) in hungarian, english and german!
On 17th January 2018 there was the time of sponge handball in Magvassy Mihály Hall in Győr. Girls born after 1st of January 2009 played against each other on the 3+1 sponge-handball tournament. There was a really big interest for the tournament, because 18 teams has participated in it.
This year the succesful ETO Christmas was organized again 600 youth players and their coaches and relatives. As the closing of the event the ETO players gave autographs to the youth.
Youth ETO teams play their matches in every age group. We’ve asked Bognár Róbert, the coach of the junior team about the matches.
Young handball player girls from Oslo, Norway arrived to visit ETO. The team, comprising 16-17-year-old girls, is spending some days with ETO to get some professional experience, by training together with the same aged team of ETO and playing a match conducted by Ambros Martin.
Almost every team included in the youth program of ETO had their next match last week. The youngest ones won with big differences, the junior and youth teams need a little more time to make the unity of the team, their performance is a little bit changeable now, however, Kun Attila, youth coach, can see some improvement.
The Youth teams of ETO are in the middle of their trainings. Every team gets a chance to play at training matches. Our 11-year-olds got silver medal at the tournament in Dorog.
ETO took part in the CELL Cup with 3 youth teams. Twenty-eight country’s team participate in the cup which has been organized for 20 years, and the ETO girls can meet tens of nations during the group matches gaining experience.
The Open Handball Championship in the season 2016/17 organized by ETO traditionally is waiting for the teams who can apply until August 30.
We visited the World Championship of U18 held in Bratislava. The Hungarian National team advanced from the top 8 undefeated and has to win over Norway to be in the top 6.
